It looked to have been all settled as PSG appeared ready to slump to a hugely disappointing 1-0 defeat to Rennes at the Parc des Princes stadium on Sunday evening. But then a 97th-minute equaliser from the hosts salvaged a draw in the dying seconds of the match to break the visitors’ hearts with Goncalo Ramos converting the spot kick under enormous pressure.

Goncalo Ramos’ penalty seven minutes into injury time salvaged a point for Paris-Saint Germain at home to Rennes in their Ligue 1 clash.
An otherwise drab game was lit up by an audacious individual run and finish from Amine Gouiri 12 minutes before half-time.
Ramos, who replaced the ineffective Kylian Mbappe, was initially given a penalty in the 84th minute when he fell over Guela Doue’s leg, but the referee reversed the decision and handed the Portuguese star a booking.

Ten minutes later, Ramos again went down in the box, falling over goalkeeper Steve Mandanda’s outstretched leg and this time, after initially waving away protests, the official overturned the decision after consulting VAR.
Ramos then sent Mandanda the wrong way from 12 yards with effectively the last kick of the game.
