Anail bitter until the end, but the Indiana Pacers came out victorious against the New York Knicks, as they took Game 3 at home 111-106 to win their first game in the second-round playoff series in the Eastern Conference.
The first quarter belonged to the home team, as Tyrese Haliburton took over early and often on offense and helped the team have a nine point lead going into the second quarter.
But the Knicks started to get into their rhythm and little by little Donte DiVincenzo and Jalen Brunson made the plays to take control and put up big numbers to help their team take the lead 58-53 at the half.
This trend continued in the third, with New York simply dominating all over the court. The defensive plays under the arc and in the perimeter forced the Pacers to try difficult shots and that was enough.
The Knicks scored 32 points, 10 more than the Pacers to stay on top, but things changed in the fourth.
The Pacers came back to be alive
Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam helped the cause as Haliburton was not by himself. The pressure New York felt was asphyxiating and they just couldnt finish their plays.

Andrew Nembhard played almost 31 minutes and only had five points, but three of those came on a triple to take lead for good 109-106 with 16.5 seconds to go and the Pacers never looked back.
Tyrese Haliburton had 35 points and seven assists with over 38 minutes played, Pascal Siakam scored 26 points and had seven rebounds, while Myles Turner scored 21 points, all contributing to the Indiana cause.
For the Knicks, Donte DiVincenzo played nearly 44 minutes with 35 points and Jalen Brunson scored 26 points on 38:27 minutes on the court.
Now New York has a 2-1 series lead with the upcoming game being on Sunday.
