Having just traded for none other than Damian Lillard meant that the Milwaukee Bucks have every intention to become one of the most dominant teams in the NBA for at least the next five years.

The problem is that as far as results goes, they haven’t exactly been getting what they expected. A fix to this result problem needed to happen sooner rather than later and the Bucks’ leadership decided that head coach Adrian Griffin was the problem.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks decided to sack Griffin and they are already getting cose to finding his replacement. It all happened so fast because the Bucks are unwilling to waste any more time not getitng the results they believe they can get.

In his reporting, Charania said that the Bucks’ players were already having an important disconnect with Griffin and something needed to be done. They weren’t happy with the coaching job he was doing, which prompted action from the team’s owners. Now that the decision has been made, the replacement is already being considered.

One of the names that is making the most sense for Milwaukee according to The Athletic is none other than veteran coach Doc Rivers. He was enjoying a sabbatical after leaving the Philadelphia 76ers but he would make a huge mistake if he refused to coach both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Although a decision hasn’t been made yet on Adrian Griffin’s replacement, all we know is that the Bucks are currently coachless and actively looking for one. The idea is to not waste any more time this season because despite being second in the Eastern Conference, this lack of feeling with the players is an important aspect that needed fixing. Currently, the Bucks have a comfortable 30-13 record that ranks them as the overall third best team in the entire league this season.

Only the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Boston Celtics have a better record than they do. Should Doc Rivers be that next coach, he has a great chance at fighting for the ring.
