The Paris St-Germain star, amid speculation linking him to Real Madrid, asserted that he has yet to decide on his future as his contract with the Ligue 1 champions approaches expiration.

Paris St-Germain’s prolific forward, Kylian Mbappe, has affirmed that he has yet to finalize a decision regarding his future in soccer.

The 25-year-old, who serves as the captain of the French national team, will see his contract with Ligue 1 champions PSG expire in the upcoming summer, intensifying speculation about a potential move to Real Madrid.

In June, Mbappe informed PSG that he would not be exercising the option for an additional 12 months in his current contract. Despite the looming uncertainty, the French striker expressed his unwavering commitment to the present season.

Following PSG’s triumph over Toulouse in the French Champions Trophy, where Mbappe scored in the 2-0 victory, he conveyed, “First of all, I’m very, very, very motivated for this year. It’s very important.”

Speaking on his contractual situation, Mbappe elucidated, “As I said, we’ve got titles to go after and we’ve already won one, so that’s already done. After that, no, I haven’t made up my mind yet. But in any case, with the agreement I made with the chairman [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] this summer, it doesn’t matter what I decide.”

Acknowledging the complexities of his decision, Mbappe emphasized the collaborative effort to ensure the well-being of all parties involved, stating, “We managed to protect all parties and preserve the club’s serenity for the challenges ahead, which remains the most important thing. So we’ll say it’s secondary.”
