“CONGRATULATIONS TO LEVERKUSEN FOR WINNING THE TITLE”

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel conceded the Bundesliga title and offered “congratulations” to Bayer Leverkusen after his side lost to Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern were beaten 2-0 at home to Dortmund with goals from Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson, giving the away side their first Der Klassiker win in five years.
Leverkusen had beaten Hoffenheim earlier on Saturday to establish a 13-point lead over the current champions.

Tuchel will leave Bayern at the end of the season as the manager who ended Bayern’s exceptional run of titles.
Xabi Alonso’s men have not been beaten in the league for the current campaign and are now almost certain to win the Bundesliga title.
After the match, Tuchel was asked if the title race was over, he said: “Obviously, yes.
“After today’s game there is no more need to count points. How many is it now? Congratulations to Leverkusen.
“We are very disappointed because we felt we did not bring the necessary passion to win the game. It was too little from us when it came to the basics.”
