Strahinja Pavlovic has joined AC Milan from RB Salzburg, signing a four-year contract, as both clubs announced on Wednesday. Pavlovic, a 23-year-old Serbia defender, was a regular starter for the Austrian Bundesliga side last season and featured in all three of Serbia’s matches at the recent European Championship.
Although no financial details of the agreement were made public, Italian media reported that Milan paid around 18 million euros for Pavlovic. He now joins a Milan side under the new management of Paulo Fonseca, who is preparing the Serie A team for the upcoming season. Fonseca has also secured the services of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.
In addition to signing Pavlovic, Milan announced that midfielder Daniel Maldini, son of former club captain Paolo Maldini, has completed a permanent transfer to Monza.
