Newcastle United displayed an impressive performance, clinching their first home win in the Premier League since mid-December by defeating Wolves with goals from Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon, and Tino Livramento.

The breakthrough came as Sweden international Alexander Isak capitalized on a swift counter-attack orchestrated by Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes. A deflected left-footed shot from Guimaraes found Isak, who skillfully nodded in to open the scoring.

Newcastle extended their lead when Jacob Murphy’s low cross created chaos in Wolves’ defense. Jose Sa and Max Kilman failed to clear the danger, allowing Anthony Gordon to seize the opportunity and confidently find the net.

Despite Wolves dominating possession at St James’ Park, they struggled to test Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka until midway through the second half. Nathan Fraser, a halftime substitute, managed to force Dubravka into action with a low shot from the edge of the box, which was skillfully palmed clear.

Dubravka continued to showcase his goalkeeping prowess, producing a superb save to deny Pablo Sarabia. The Magpies’ defensive resilience held firm, and in stoppage time, Tino Livramento secured the victory by bundling home his first goal for Newcastle.
